The northeast Harris County school district anticipates thousands of new students over...
With rising costs, the district will be limited to what it can build.
According to the demographic survey, the district exceeds maximum capacity in 2024-25 at Falcon Ridge Elementary School, the newest facility in the district, and Hargrave High School. By the following year, every school in the district exceeds functional capacity, with three of them exceeding maximum capacity. Functional capacity refers to the number of students a school was intended for, and maximum capacity is the number a building can hold before portables become necessary.
The district is currently at 3,700 students and has a wary eye on the economy and coming developments.
