Blackburn with Darwen Borough and Lancashire County Councils will share almost £10million to boost bus services in the coming two years.

A Blackburn with Darwen council spokesperson said: “The council has received an allocation of BSIP+ funding of £470,171 in 23/24 and the same amount in 24/25.The funding is to be used to maintain existing service levels and enhance them. We are currently working with operators, through our Enhanced Partnership, to determine how and where the funding will be spent.” A spokesman for Lancashire County Council said: “We are to receive £4.
