Eunice Dwumfour, 30, was found shot to death in her SUV outside her home Feb. 1. No arrests have been made in her killing.
Dwumfour’s family joined local and state officials at the memorial service at Epic Church International in Sayreville. Christian Onuoha, the borough’s council president, said Dwumfour “was one of a kind.”
Dwumfour’s faith was a central part of her life, people close to her said. To those who knew her, then, it wasn’t a surprise that the memorial began with a period of worship. Hundreds of attendees joined to sing “How Great Thou Art” in chorus. Dwumfour had a 12-year old daughter, and recently announced she had gotten married, neighbors and local officials said.
