People can be heard screaming ‘Go, go, go’ and ‘Get out’ as they ran under what appeared to be Christmas decorations that had caught alight. Some could even be seen tumbling to the floor in the rush to escape the flames, as others ducked and covered their heads. Another clip posted on Twitter shows the blaze starting in the corner of the Latin American restaurant and spreading across the ceiling within seconds.To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser thatAround 35 firefighters tackled the flames Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters from Soho, Lambeth, Kensington and Chelsea fire stations attended the incident.
A statement from London Fire Brigade: ‘Christmas decorations inside the building were alight and had been extinguished before firefighters arrived.
