While the group prevented drivers from going over the bridge, supporters also used their vehicles to halt traffic on I-80. Utah Highway Patrol officials said while multiple vehicles stopped on the interstate to block other cars, they moved and allowed traffic to resume as law enforcement approached. Attendees said the event was held for International Day of Action, in which cities around the world hosted rallies promoting a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas War.
