At Nottinghamshire Live we are always trying to help you get the best deal in your neighbourhood, as the cost of living crisis continues to hit our pockets. We sent Community Reporter Keimae Blake out to compare the fruit and veg offerings at big supermarkets and independent retailers.
In the year to October 2022, the price of fruit rose by more than 10% and vegetables by more than 15%, according to charity The Food Foundation, making the weekly shop a struggle for many families.
