"How do you talk about your problems when everybody else has the same problems or worse?" Bradshaw reflected in an interview that aired WednesdayThe Pittsburgh Steelers great only went public after viewers of Fox NFL Sunday — after a segment in which Bradshaw was visibly short of breath — began to question whether or not he should remain on the air. . He was diagnosed with bladder cancer last November and a rare form of skin cancer in his neck in March of this year.
Bradshaw told TODAY correspondent Harry Smith his Christian faith helped get him and his family through the difficult times following his diagnosis. "I wasn't scared. I don't know why. I never was scared," he said."My attitude was if I go, I'm OK. If I stay, I'm OK."about his cancer battle and why he waited a year to go public with it.
