After my divorce three years ago, my husband and I agreed our children would live with me and visit him regularly.
As if losing my son wasn’t enough, my ex hurt me further by saying I am clearly not fit to look after our remaining children, and that he was going to do all he could to get full custody of them. He all but said that it was my fault our son had died. You might not get back to the close relationship you had before, but you might at least be able to re-establish the working relationship you had as parents before the accident.
I know it’s not what you want to hear but please don’t dismiss the help that your GP can give, even if it is just pills for now.
