'My toastie was incredibly cheesy'😍
Last weekend was my first and last time visiting the delightful teahouse that oozes utter charm and character. There really was no better place to grab a spot of lunch than here on a breezy Sunday - because what's better than fresh food made with love?
I know what you're thinking: "What's so special about a toastie?" Well, let me tell you. I wasn't planning on grabbing lunch at the idyllic spot nestled on The Parade in Parkgate, but I'm so glad I did. Despite not being a big fan of tomato, I was really drawn to the brie and ham combo, I knew it was going to be especially delightful in toastie form, and how right I was. The toastie was golden brown in colour and had a real good crunch to it.
One bite into this bad boy and I could tell that it was made from scratch. It was hot, fresh, and surprisingly really filling. The ham wasn't flimsy or thin like you can sometimes get in a toastie, it was thick, flavoursome and just the right amount of salty.
