Lizz Cannon - who was polyamorous throughout her first marriage already - met her now husband Gabriel Castañeda, 29, at a roller-skating glass four months after the death of her husband of 20 years
A polyamorous widow has opened up about how she has married a man 20 years younger, with whom he shares a girlfriend.
The throuple is still going strong now, with the three of them enjoying going out for dinner together on a regular basis, going dancing or to museum exhibits. Lizz, from Tampa, Florida, said her family and friends are fully supportive of her lifestyle and girlfriend. The couple say they follow a "healthy and vibrant" polygamous lifestyle, but that they got married in an intimate outdoor wedding in May last year.
Meeting through a mutual friend in 2000, Lizz and chef Josh tied the knot the following year. The pair were polyamorous throughout their marriage, with Lizz having two partners - one from Florida and another from a different state. "We make sure to check in with each other about everything, not for permission but out of respect and being mindful of safe sex practices is non-negotiable. If you have love and trust at the centre of a relationship, polyamory will work out."
