'I'm Spanish but live in remote Irish town – some cultural differences annoy me'

A Spanish woman shared her experience of living in Ireland and how one particular aspect of life in the country has left her 'outraged' after moving from Seville

A different pace of life and unfamiliar customs can come as a shock, and this is precisely what one Spanish expat has expressed about her move to Ireland.

In a lamenting tone, she highlighted her recent attempt at socialising: "Yesterday I met two friends at 7pm... I am aware that things are closed, but I haven't been out for a while, so I thought there must be something... everything closed!" Towards the end of the account, she sheds light on her decision to relocate which happened two years prior: "I am used to going out and having everything at hand.
