Amy said she had to walk what felt like two miles to check in for her holiday
Getting there, parking up the car and getting to the check-in desk. All this needs to be considered before you can jet off on your holiday.
She booked this directly through On The Beach when she booked her trip last year. But when the time came around to park up and jet off, she said she felt 'fed up and flustered' after having to walk around 20 minutes, and 'what felt like to two miles' to the check-in desks at her terminal. So when I booked our summer getaway through On The Beach for this year, last September, I selected the option to choose meet and greet parking directly through the holiday company. It cost about £100 but I knew it would be worth every penny.
With my patience wearing thin I pressed the 'help' button on the barrier. After explaining that the camera wasn't allowing me through I was told that my booking referred to meet and greet at Terminal 1. It took us a good 20 minutes, and what felt like two miles, to finally get to check-in. I was flustered, fed up and furious that I had paid a premium to end up walking further than I would if we'd parked at a cheaper car park.
