The Mediterranean diet has taken social media by storm, with its fans claiming it's a game changer for weight loss and battling diabetes risks.
The aim was simple: shave off a little weight in pounds . So, I picked up a meal plannot expecting religious adherence on my part, but enough to give structureand committed to one week embracing the Mediterranean way, reports Wales Online. The meal plan suggested preparing breakfasts and lunches in batches, which I found very helpful, especially while working from home where the temptation is to remain at your desk for extended periods. My breakfast for the entire week - purely for convenience - was cinnamon roll overnight oats.
I managed to get ahead with some meal prep too. For my midday meal, I whipped up a "super food salad" loaded with grains like quinoa, kale, lettuce, beans, and some sliced chicken for that all-important protein hit. Despite not having any firm expectations, there was a part of me hoping to see the scales tip just a bit in my favour.
