'I've spent £35k on Christmas decorations which light up my whole home'
Betty Ann was going to give up her Christmas decorating but said that she couldn't resist"But I couldn't resist turning the house into a Christmas grotto again. I love the smile on people's faces when they see the house.
"And then I started going on trips to Christmas markets in Germany where I would pick up all of my decorations."One of my favourite decorations is a nativity set that I bought in Germany because that is the true meaning of Christmas."It takes quite a while to get all the decorations up, especially now I am getting older. So this year I started at the beginning of November to make sure they were done in time.
The house is jam-packed with Father Christmas figures, nativity scenes, Christmas tree, snowmen and even 12 reindeers on a window sill. "Although I did say that I was going to give up the decorating, after the year everyone has had I wanted to bring something happy and positive to put a smile on our faces.
