iCarly's Miranda Cosgrove on growing up a child star, Wednesday Addams' influence, and her future career dreams
bossy Summer Hathaway back in 2003, it's been clear Miranda Cosgrove has always been destined to be a star.
"I would say I feel like I was probably more protected than most just because my mom and dad are such a big part of my life," she said."My mom would come with me to the set for everything when I was young. I'm really close with her, so I feel like that's contributed a lot to having a more positive experience.
Nathan Kress, who plays Carly's will they/won't they best friend Freddie, has turned his hand to directing numerous episodes of the series. "Just being a kid and going on auditions and stuff, I always did better and leaned towards comedy, it just was always the thing that I feel like I was good at," she said."Also I just love comedy in general – there's no better feeling in the world than watching something and laughing and having a good time, and being able to bring happiness to people seems like the best thing you can do.
