Over half of parents surveyed admit to feeling concerned about their kids eating well during the break

Frozen food retailer Iceland have launched a number of initiatives to help parents with the cost of feeding their children this half term after a survey found that more 56% of parents worry about the cost of food when their children are off school.

The new research which was conducted for the value retailer also found that one in two parents were concerned about their kids eating well. Additionally, over half of the parents surveyed also worry about the cost of having their little ones at home, and 53% worry about their kids getting their five a day. Two thirds are also concerned about the cost of paying for fun activities during the break.This research study was conducted by Censuswide on behalf of Ketchum between 22.05.23 and 24.05.23 consisting of 2,000 people including 429 parents.

To help parents who are feeling the pinch, Iceland have launched their Half Term Heroes initiative which runs online and in stores at Iceland and The Food Warehouse until Sunday 4th June.Andrew Staniland, Group Buying Director at Iceland Foods and The Food Warehouse said “We know how tough it can be for parents when half term comes around.
