South Wales Police say the boy died on his way to hospital after he suffered a medical episode at the festival.
A 16-year-old boy has died on the first day of a festival in south Wales, police have confirmed.
Police said they were called to an incident at the In It Together Festival at Margam near Port Talbot on Friday evening. Chief Inspector Declan Cahill added:"Shortly after 8.30pm on Friday evening officers were called to an incident at the In It Together festival at Margam after a 16-year-old boy from Port Talbot suffered a medical episode."Our sympathies are with his family at this time."The festival began on the Cardiff nightclub scene in 2008 but attendance grew and it moved to a new location in Margam near Port Talbot last summer.
