The Indiana Attorney General's Office is declining to share information on the people who allegedly complained about Dr. Caitlin Bernard.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita went on Fox News after the IndyStar article went viral and said his office was looking into whether Bernard had broken any laws or professional standards.

Two weeks later, Bernard’s attorney Kathleen DeLaney released a statement saying Rokita’s office put Bernard on notice that an investigation had been launched into six consumer complaints against the doctor.DeLaney implied that the complaints were baseless. “It includes but isn’t limited to authority to investigate both state and federal privacy violations, consumer complaint issues, and it includes jurisdiction over licensed professionals including physicians.”

In 2018 the anti-abortion organization Indiana Right to Life released a newsletter claiming Bernard was among nine abortion doctors in the state who had been accused of failing to report child abortions and sexual abuse. "The deputy for Stalin was reported to have said, 'Show me the man and I'll find the crime,'" Robel told IndyStar."That's just not the way we do things in the United States." Rokita's office said Robel's complaint to the disciplinary commission was"without basis."
