On Tuesday, Dolly announced the sad death of her husband Carl who passed away aged 82. Dolly, 79, said her beloved husband died in Nashville on Monday
It’s a Hollywood rarity to see longstanding marriages that spans more than 50 years but for famed country icon Dolly Parton and her ultra-private husband Carl Dean, their 60-year relationship was rock solid until his recent death.
The family did not specify a cause of death. Dean is survived by Parton, as well as siblings Sandra and Donnie. She continued, “I wouldn't go out with him. I mean, that was somethin’ we was taught. You gotta know somebody or they may take you on a back road and kill you. But I said, ‘You're welcome to come up to the house tomorrow because I'm babysittin’ my little nephew.’ ” Dean came over every day that week, and the first time they went out together, he took her to meet his parents.
