“If I didn’t have a son with Down’s, would I be raising money for it? Probably not. A lot of the lads here do fundraising for cancer because I’m sure it has hit some of their families. Carsley rounded off his club career with spells at Birmingham City and Coventry before hanging up the boots in 2011.
