Former Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson and her fiancé Ryan Libbey have experienced a tough couple of years following the traumatic birth of their son Leo in 2021
Louise Thompson and Ryan Libbey welcomed their son Leo in 2021 and have continued to document their journey as first time parents on social media ever since.
Thankfully both survived the ordeal, with Leo receiving specialist care in the NICU for several weeks before he was healthy enough to come home. Louise spent over a month in intensive care following Leo's birth after suffering severe complications. Louise previously told how new dad Ryan was essentially a "single parent" for the first month or so of Leo's life, branding him her "rock". She's also admitted they "didn't have a proper conversation" for "months and months" after becoming parents.
Louise was also diagnosed with lupus at the end of 2022. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that causes the body's immune system to attack healthy parts of the body. Symptoms can include fatigue, joint pain and rashes. In a recent lengthy post shared on social media, she told fans: “Anyway, now I seem to be catching more breaks from the trauma and I’m recognising more of my former ‘personality’ creep back in - I’ve noticed I feel a smidge more vulnerable when it comes to sharing explicit details of how I'm feeling and how i’m recovering."
