Matthew Perry was 54 when he was found dead at his Los Angeles home - now five people have been charged, with worrying claims emerging about how the addicted star was taken advantage of
Matthew Perry 's death in October lifted the lid on a secret underground network of drug dealing in Los Angeles.
After his death, authorities delved into Hollywood's seedy underbelly of drug supply and this week charged five people including two doctors, a 'Ketamine Queen' and her street dealer. Perry's live-in help Kenneth Iwamasa pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to distribute ketamine causing death, while Eric Fleming and Dr Mark Chavez admitted conspiring to distribute drugs unlawfully.
The 41-year-old 'Ketamine Queen' is accused of selling 50 vials of the drug to the star - via dealer Fleming and Perry 's assistant - for $11,000. When investigators searched her home, more than 80 vials of ketamine were allegedly found along with thousands of pills including methamphetamine, cocaine and Xanax and a handgun.
It is claimed Perry paid his physician around $2,000 for vials that actually cost $12. Between September and October last year, he spent $55,000 on 20 vials of ketamine from Dr Plascencia. Fleming even reportedly asked Sangha whether ketamine stays 'in your system or is it immediately flushed out'. Dr Plasencia, meanwhile, is said to have turned to falsifying medical records to make the drugs given to the actor look legitimate.
