Kristian Schmid was cast as Todd Landers and starred in Neighbours between 1988 and 1992 before going on to have a successful career in acting including appearing in Home And Away
Over its nearly four-decade-long run, Neighbours has been instrumental in launching the careers of stars such as Kylie Minogue , Jason Donovan, Jesse Spencer, Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth .
Starting his acting career at a tender age, Kristian landed a role on Neighbours when he was just 12 years old after auditions were held at his school. Following a successful audition, he was cast as Todd Landers and starred in the soap from 1988 to 1992. During his time on Neighbours, Todd navigated his way through school with his friend Josh and got his girlfriend, Phoebe Bright, pregnant. The couple decided she would have an abortion, but Todd had a change of heart and in one heartbreaking scene, he rushed to the hospital to stop it going ahead, but was hit by a van en route.
Despite his character's demise, he made a ghostly return to Erinsborough to reassure Phoebe that she'd be alright moving forward.
