While there was plenty of cross words between them, there was shock when they were brutally axed by This Morning bosses, leading to Eamonn moving away from ITV completely and taking up a role with GB News, taking swipes at his old bosses with some cutting remarks in the past few years. Ruth, meanwhile, stayed with the station and continues to be a host on Loose Women.
A source close to the couple has elaborated on the shock news, after concerns had grown in recent weeks with them not being pictured together or appearing on each other's individual social media pages for quite a while. The source told The Sun: "They are determined to stay friends and keep things amicable.
