The Irish sprinter has been enjoying a bit of R & R in the offseason following a hectic campaign on the track.
Irish sprinter Sharlene Mawdsley has been enjoying a well deserved sun-soaked holiday at the end of what has been a hectic season on the track.
While Mawdsley didn't do as well as she would have liked in her individual competition, she was a part of the women's 4x400m relay team that finished fourth in the Olympic final. "I know I ran the best I could and when Amber Anning came up on me I'm aware Feke is behind me. It's a hard leg and I'm pretty devastated. I just wish I could have done it for the girls, especially for Rhasidat after yesterday. It's heartbreaking but we still broke a national record and that was my aim in the meeting today so I can't ask for much more.
Instagram The 26-year-old competed in one final event of the season shortly after the Olympics and has been enjoying a deserved holiday following her exploits on the track.
