Stockport face Carlisle at Wembley this afternoon hoping to earn promotion into League One
The 47-year old is preparing for his ninth play off campaign in 13 years in management. Sunday’s Wembley offering is a long way from his first, when he led Colwyn Bay out of the Northern Premier League in 2010 at the expense of FC United.

He runs a successful property business and trusts those at the football club implicitly enough leave them to it. "I don’t remember anything about the day," he said. "Because we lost. We went into it as massive underdogs but we thought we were going to win, and win we didn't, I don't remember anything. I don't remember walking up to get my medal, nothing. I always said to myself that if I got the opportunity to go back there again that I would take in what happened.
