These are the clever tricks and tips that Soap costume departments use for actors
When it comes to the world of soaps such as Eastenders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, we get gripped by the high level of drama and heartbreak.
One of the main tricks is to source the clothes from either vintage shops or purchase out-of-season items from some of our favourite high street chains. Whilst most of the clothes are from past collections, some are from the present, however, when fans frantically search for the wanted item, they tend to sell out immediately.
Also with TV extras, the majority of the time they are told to bring their own clothes unless the production team specifies otherwise or a specific era or style is a key focus.
