A home needs to function as well as having a appealing aesthetic, but it can be difficult to get organised and find well-flowing storage solutions for a busy household

Interior designer Dee Coleman has opened up about what she loves about being a part of Home Rescue: The Big Fix — and the draw of home makeover and renovation shows.It will feature a heartwarming mix of human stories and home makeovers — including a whirlwind of decluttering, teamwork and positivity.

She said, "That’s really invigorating for me; everything is completely different and every family is completely different. “It’s like, ‘OK, she comes in and she plays camogie — what’s she going to do with her hurl?’ Then immediately, it’s about storage, it’s about function and then it’s about the aesthetic that follows.”

“Or at least, most people won’t. Some people don’t mind it, but some people need that sense of order. She explained, “Most people have a space that they live in, whether it’s a room, a house or a house share. And I think that people’s environment, their home environments, is an important leg of their stability.
