Ireland receives international assistance in the aftermath of a devastating storm, with technicians and resources from several countries helping to restore power, water, and communication services.

Technicians from Austria, Finland, Britain, Germany, and Norway are providing assistance with power restoration efforts in the wake of the recent severe storm. The ESB Networks, Ireland 's power provider, has mobilized all available resources, including partner contractors and international support, to reconnect customers who have been without electricity for over two weeks.

The company emphasized its commitment to restoring power to all remaining customers as soon as possible, working tirelessly throughout the weekend. However, the restoration process is complex and may involve temporary disconnections as crews work on main lines to reconnect neighboring customers. ESB Networks has deployed over 2,500 local crews and contractors, bolstered by colleagues from other regions and retirees. In addition to the restoration crews, over 1,300 support staff are engaged in damage assessment, emergency call management, logistics, and network operations. The customer contact center has doubled its resources to handle the unprecedented volume of calls.Progress is also being made in restoring water and telecommunication services. Uisce Éireann is working to reconnect the final few customers without water, and significant strides have been made in restoring telecommunications services. Poland and Denmark have provided several large-capacity generators through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism to support ESB Networks, Uisce Éireann, and telecommunication operators in restoring essential services to homes, schools, and businesses. The National Emergency Co-ordination Group (NECG) noted that Emergency Response Hubs are serving as study spaces for students facing connectivity issues due to the storm, remaining open for the coming week in affected areas
