Investigation after couple found dead in Donegal house

The elderly couple were found dead in a house in Convoy, Co Donegal

A garda investigation has begun in Convoy in Co Donegal following the deaths of an elderly couple in a house there.

Coroner for Donegal Dr Denis McCauley is on his way to the scene to carry out an examination and gardaí have sealed off the house where a forensic examination is also expected to be carried out.A garda spokesman said: "This is very fresh and we simply cannot say at this stage how they died. A full examination of the scene will be carried out to determine what direction our investigation will take.
