An investigation has been launched after man died suddenly after an ‘incident’ at a charity boxing match.
Officers from Norfolk Police were called to a report ‘of a sudden death after a man in his 50s had become unwell’ during the event in Diamond Road in Norwich today.The ambulance service also attended, but despite medical treatment the man was pronounced dead at the scene. A police spokesman said: ‘The area has been cordoned off while officers investigate the circumstances of the death which is currently being treated as unexplained.’
Officers are ‘investigating the death of a man following an incident earlier today’, the force added. They are also appealing for anyone who saw what happened but has not yet spoken to officers to get in touch.
