Irish coach predicts outcome of the game will depend on those key match-ups
There are three massive battles across the three key positions admits Ireland boss Simon Easterby ahead of the Six Nations clash with France.
Having Doris, skipper, leader, try-scorer, creator and defender back from injury is a massive boost says Interim Coach Easterby. "I think we've got one of, if not the best No8s in the world ourselves and there's very little between those two players at the moment." Talking of one number further up, out-half, Sam Prendergast and Romain Ntamack, Easterby accepts it is a battle Ireland need to win on both sides of the ball.
"But he also understands and values the other side of the ball and that's kind of part and parcel of his growth as a player, making sure that he understands how important both sides of the ball are."
