Tommy Bowe, Muireann O'Connell and Alan Hughes addressed viewers on Monday morning after some people felt comments they made about nut allergies were inappropriate
Ireland AM presenters have issued an apology over an "irresponsible" segment which left viewers feeling "disappointed".

And now they're only realising that there's peanuts in it.The clip was shared on social media, but some Virgin Media viewers weren't happy that the show's presenters found the topic to be a "laughing matter".
A third person said: "The worry for allergy sufferers and their parents in the last couple of weeks is nothing to be laughed at. The misinformation is shocking," while a fourth felt Tommy, Alan and Muireann were being "ignorant" and "insensitive".They were joined by Clinical Director of Allergy Ireland Dr Iseult Sheehan and took the opportunity to address viewers at home.
