There were plenty of notable events which took place over the weekend, including the Dublin and Cork Mini Marathons and the Bloomn Festival in Dublin's Phoenix Park
More than 25,000 women turned Dublin City purple at the sold-out Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.
As the gun went at 12.30pm, entrants left the start line at Fitzwilliam Street Upper to run, jog and walk the 10km route, with many doing it for charitable causes. Race director Eamon Hayes said: “What a year. We filled all our races, the fundraising far exceeded our targets and it was a success overall.And thousands more flocked to the Phoenix Park in Dublin for the fourth day of the Bloom festival, which will come to an end today.
