Ireland braced for MONTH of rain as Met Eireann issues horror new long-range forecast
Ireland’s washout summer is set to continue right through August, with the country braced for an entire month of rain.
The national forecaster updated its monthly forecast on Tuesday and it runs from Monday, August 7 until Sunday, September 3. Met Eireann said: "Conditions in Week 1 will turn a bit more settled than in recent days with high pressure located close to Ireland through much of the week. Despite this, occasional spells of wet weather will keep rainfall accumulations at or slightly above average, while temperatures will remain fairly typical for the time of year. The airflow will be variable in direction and relatively light in strength.
Looking ahead to the week of August 21 to 27, there is some uncertainty, but rainfall is still expected to be above average.
