A second Emerging Ireland tour to South Africa will feature three games in October

Simon Easterby is stepping into Andy Farrell 's shoes again for an Emerging Ireland tour to South Africa this autumn - as he is expected to do next year when Farrell is on Lions duty.

The first Emerging Tour fast-tracked the progress of current Ireland No.10 Jack Crowley plus Joe McCarthy and Calvin Nash into the Test set-up and Easterby will be hoping for more potential stars to emerge. "It will be a short preparation window leading into three tough matches but that is part of the challenge for the whole group, building connections and getting up to speed to meet the demands of playing in a green jersey."
