Ireland Funds has announced the distribution of €500,000 in grants to 20 organizations providing essential services to children experiencing poverty, marginalization, and difficult circumstances. The grants, part of the Heart of the Community Fund, aim to provide quick relief during a time when challenges are amplified. Organizations receiving €25,000 each include Barnardos, Capuchin Centre, Citywise Education, COPE Galway, FoodCloud, Home-Start North Down, Kinship Care Northern Ireland, and LauraLynn.

She said the provision of vital supports through the Heart of the Community Fund woule “ease distress and bring comfort to the 253 children in COPE Galway’s homeless families service” over the Christmas period and into the new year.
