Another gold medal for Ireland as the Portaferry runner holds off France’s Agathe Guilemot and Esther Guerrero of Spain to win
Ireland’s Ciara Mageean has won the gold medal in the final of the women’s 1,500m at the European Athletics Championships in the Stadio Olimpico, Rome.Mageean has previously won silver at these championships in the 1,500m, in Munich two years ago, and won bronze back in 2016.
