The popular Irish reality show, Ireland's Fittest Family, will air its 12th season this Saturday after being postponed following the death of a contestant. The show will now air on Saturdays at 6.35pm due to scheduling conflicts with Dancing with the Stars.

The new season of Ireland's Fittest Family will return this weekend after it was postponed following the death of one of its participants. The 12th season of the hit show, hosted by Laura Fox, was initially scheduled to air last October but bosses delayed the broadcast after 15-year-old contestant Cillian Flaherty passed away suddenly. But it has now been confirmed that the show will return to screens in a brand new time slot this weekend.

Ireland's Fittest Family typically airs on Sunday nights, but due to Dancing with the Stars it will now air on Saturdays at 6.35pm. Production company Animo TV shared on Instagram: 'Ireland's Fittest Family is back for its 12th season on RTE One and RTE Player. 'Coaches Davy Fitzgerald, Anna Geary, Donncha O'Callaghan and Sonia O’Sullivan are back and looking to bring home the title this year.' The return of Ireland's Fittest Family marks the start of an all-new Irish line-up on Saturday nights on RTE One. Viewers can also tune in to the new season of The Young Offenders, while Tommy Tiernan returns with a new series of his self-titled chat show, where guests from all walks of life open up about their personal life and career experiences. There is plenty of great television for viewers to look forward to on Sunday nights as well, as Dancing with the Stars returns for its eighth season. The new series will see Karen Byrne make her debut on the judging panel, as celebrities such as Elaine Crowley, Rhys McClenaghan and Danny O'Carroll take to the dance floor. And on top of all of that, Dermot Bannon is back on Sunday nights for a new season of Room to Improv
