Ireland still holds the record for the most wins at the Eurovision Song Contest, winning the competition on seven occasions. Here, we look back at some of the most iconic moments in the show’s history and the performances that got us all talking.
Mr. Eurovision When you think of Eurovision in Ireland, Johnny Logan instantly springs to mind. The blonde heartthrob won in 1980 with What's Another Year and again in 1987 with Hold Me Now. Jedward Fresh from their success on The X Factor John and Edward Grimes represented Ireland on two occasions in 2011 and 2012. Their 2011 track Lipstick was a big hit and got us our highest placing, eighth, since Marc Roberts came second in 1997. They still hold that record.
