Irish Under 21 star Matt Healy reckons last night’s blundering draw against Latvia was the low point of his burgeoning international career.
As a result their chances of progressing to next year’s European championship finals as group winners have reduced. But had Ireland beaten, instead of drawn, with the group’s lowest seeds last night then they would have required only a win and a draw rather than six points from their final games of the campaign against Norway and Italy.
