Captain Sami Bishti is unavailable due to injury, which has prompted several changes to the squad that secured a 24-19 victory over Fiji on Monday. Most notably, Charlie O'Shea has been promoted to the starting fly-half position, shifting Daniel Green to full-back. Charlie Molony moves from full-back to the wing, replacing Johnny O'Sullivan who drops out entirely. Rob Carney has also been named at outside center in place of Jack Deegan.
In the forwards, Blake McClean retains the tighthead prop position after stepping in following Bishti's injury during the warm-up before the Fiji match. Josh Neill will continue to captain the side in Bishti's absence. Ireland will be aiming to secure ninth place with a third consecutive win, after previously defeating the United States in the pool stages.

Following this championship, Browne will transition from his role, with current Connacht Rugby colleague Cullie Tucker set to take over as head coach for the next three years.
