The IRFU's spokesman Peter Breen said: 'We recommend those searching for tickets use only the official sites
Black market tickets for Ireland's World Cup quarter-final against the All Blacks are expected to soar to EUR1,000 each by the weekend.Tickets have been changing hands early in the week for "EUR500 and change", it is claimed. It comes after the IRFU appealed to fans to be careful of rip-offs.
The IRFU's spokesman Peter Breen said: "We recommend those searching for tickets use only the official sites. "There are not only people out there blatantly exploiting the prices, there are also criminals who might not have a ticket at all and who are looking to extract credit card numbers and such details as they can.
"Anybody trying to purchase a ticket for the New Zealand game this Saturday or any other matches we might be playing in the near future, such as a semi-final, third place final or final, need to log on and register for a ticket through those official channels."
