The national forecaster is sharing its predictions for the weekend ahead, which will apparently bring with it more rain and cold temperatures
Met Eireann issued a Status Yellow heavy rain warning for two counties from Thursday evening until Friday morning.
The weather warning for Cork expires at 8am on Friday morning, however Waterford will remain under the heavy rain warning until 12pm on Friday afternoon. Now, the national forecaster is sharing its predictions for the weekend ahead, which will apparently bring with it more rain and cold temperatures.Damp and blustery tomorrow with outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the north and east with more persistent rain moving into the south and west, heavy at times in the south with possible spot flooding. The rain will gradually clear from southwest and west with sunny spells developing and highest temperatures there of 8 to 12 degrees.
Friday night will be mostly cloudy with patchy mist and drizzle, mainly over the eastern half of the country. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees with light east to southeast breezes,Saturday will be mostly cloudy. It will start off mainly dry. Scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will spread northwards through the day. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees with mostly moderate southeast winds, mildest in the southwest.
