Andy Farrell has to cut his squad from 38 players down to 33
Ireland were far from convincing as they beat Samoa 17-13 on Saturday evening in Bayonne, but ultimately emerged with a 13th consecutive win on the eve of the 33-man squad being named for the tournament in France.
Their World Cup squad is expected to be named at 4.30pm, with the Ireland coach having cut to cut from 38 players to 33.
