Irish actors lead the way in BAFTA nominations from Sharon Horgan to Graham Norton there is plenty to celebrate!
Absolutely not, because we have to talk about telly with the TV BAFTA Awards.Graham Norton and Sharon Horgan are among those nominated ahead of the awards ceremony which takes place on Sunday, May 12 at London’s Royal Festival Hall.Graham’s late-night chat show The Graham Norton Show was nominated in the Comedy Entertainment category. Meanwhile the Corkman himself was shortlisted in the Entertainment Performance.
Sharon is nominated in the Leading Actress category for her performance in the BBC drama Best Interests, which also starred Irish newcomer Niamh Moriarty. Irish actor Mairéad Ronan is also nominated in the Female Performance in a Comedy category for her Disney+ series Extraordinary. Éanna Hardwicke has been nominated in the Supporting Actor category for his performance in the BBC true-crime series The Sixth Commandment where he played murderer Ben Field.The winners will be announced on Sunday, 12th May in London
