What the Government should be doing instead is using Ireland’s well respected neutral position to seek a diplomatic and peaceful solution to the Russian Ukraine war. Richard Boyd Barrett TD said the language used by the Government was “very Orwellian” in that its was saying Neutrality was safe while “at the same time trying to join Nato and trash our neutrality. ”
