The Irish Coast Guard coordinated 2,554 incidents in 2024, including search and rescue, maritime casualty responses, and pollution and preparedness responses. The 44 Irish Coast Guard Units were mobilized 1,154 times, supporting communities across the country with 134 air ambulance flights. The Coast Guard assisted 537 people in 2024, preventing loss of life and/or delivering people to medical care.
