Trinity College Dublin lecturer reported missing after reaching Mount Everest peak
Trinity College Professor Seamus Lawless, 39, had reached the peak of the world's tallest mountain for the first time this morning.
He was part of an eight-member expedition and went missing after he reportedly fell from an altitude of 8,300 metres. He said: "This morning Seamus Lawless, Professor at Trinity's Adapt Centre reached the summit of Mount Everest. Congratulations to you and @irelandeverest team. Your achievement is tremendous."
"This morning his family, friends and colleagues shared his joy on reaching the peak of Mount Everest.
