Irish data centre owners, including Big Tech firms such as Microsoft and Google, will be required to publicly disclose their energy performance under new EU guidelines, an internal government document shows.
In March, the EU updated its Energy Efficiency Directive which will require, for the first time, a “reporting scheme” for large data centres.
